your words were my morning devotion lol! I loved the naming of the different types of naming. I was reflecting on loneliness of disconnect that comes from when one doesn’t fit into the mainstream and begin to lose people/connections. I really enjoyed the snippet from Audre Lorde’s book - a great reminder to do and show up with our fears. Thank you 🩶
I relate to this so deeply. I just created a Substack account, and have been trying to figure out what I am going to write about on this platform. Recently, I decided to invest in learning about how others define loneliness and isolation to develop a better understanding of my own depression, and coming across this post was a sort of confirmation. I honor your experience and empathize with it. Sending light
I am grateful for your transparency! We are not a monolith. And while I see solutions on the horizon, I want to honor your feelings in your grief and loss journey. Thank you for sharing. Sincerely, Another Black Women.
Thank you for being real. And brave. It’s not easy to admit your feelings. I want to be this bold. I subscribed ❤️
Thank you for naming the types of loneliness.
This was a wonderful read. I loved it so much. Loneliness is something I think we all have trouble with.
WOW. This was POTENT. Thank you.
I’m not lonely because I’m black.
Me being black has nothing to do with my loneliness.
I’m just lonely.
Really enjoyed this thank you
